A New Maine Glamping Spot With Cozy Futuristic Domes, Amazing Views, A Sauna, And Mini Golf
Woah I think I just found the new glamping spot for the summer season.
A Modern Coastal Retreat in Maine
Ferncrest Acadia is in Sargentville, Maine, about 55 minutes from Acadia National Park, which is nice because you’re close enough to visit the park but still away from the huge crowds. It’s basically camping, but without the stressful parts. You don’t have to bring a tent, sleeping bags, or any gear because everything is already set up when you get there. You just show up and enjoy being outside.
According to Island Institute, Ferncrest Acadia is also one of the newer glamping businesses on the coast of Maine. Glamping is kind of a mix between camping and staying somewhere comfortable. You still get the whole nature experience, but you’re not sleeping on the ground or struggling to set everything up.
One of the coolest parts about glamping in general is the unusual places you stay in. Some of glamping’s appeal comes from its unique dwellings, and Ferncrest definitely has that. The glampground features 400-square-foot plastic-covered geodesic domes with big windows that give you panoramic views of the landscape around you.

The domes look kind of futuristic, almost like something you’d see on the moon or in a space movie, but you’re actually just in one of the most beautiful parts of Maine. It’s cozy and comfortable but still feels like you’re really out in nature.
They also have things like onsite blueberry picking and wellness spaces, which makes the whole experience feel really chill. Yes, there is a sauna, cold plunge, and even mini golf.
It just seems like the kind of place where you could slow down for a few days and make some really good memories.
