Well, that was short lived. I held the trophy for most games correctly picked in our Pro Football Pick ‘Em pool at work for week 3 getting 13 games correct. In week 4, I didn’t fare so well. It’s time to reclaim my rank as weekly champ.

I’m so upset with New England after Monday night, I’m picking Cincinnati. I don’t know what is going on at Camp Foxboro, but things aren’t going well this year. I think whatever virus the Red Sox had New England caught. I’m hoping the Bruins get vaccinated against this sickness as their season is about to get going.

As for my football picks in week 5, here we go.

Thursday night, it’s Minnesota at Green Bay, going with Green Bay. On paper both teams seem pretty close, but the 12th man will tip it for me.

Sunday’s games:
I’m going with Pittsburgh over Jacksonville. No brainer here as Jacksonville is 0-4.

I’m picking Baltimore over Indianapolis just on a gut feeling.

I’m going with Detroit over Buffalo.

In the battle of Texas, Houston at Dallas, I’m taking the Cowboys. How about those cheerleaders?

Tampa Bay in New Orleans is a tough one, both teams are 1-3 so far but I’ll take the home team in this game.

Next up, Atlanta at the Giants, I’ll go with the Giants after last Thursday night’s game, Eli Manning seems to have found his stride.

St. Louis at Philadelphia is the next game on the list. This game looks pretty close to a no brainer as well, going with the Eagles.

Chicago plays Carolina this Sunday, just picking Chicago for no real reason except when I think of the Bears I think of the ‘Super Bowl Shuffle’ and how they rolled through the 1985 season.

The last Sunday 1 pm game is Cleveland at Tennessee, I’ll go with Tennessee just because they’re the home team. That's right, when in doubt go with the home team.

I’m thinking Arizona over Denver; I’ll give the Cardinals one more in their unbeaten streak this season.

I’m going with the 49ers over the Chiefs. After the New England beat down the other night, someone needs to put KC back in their place.

Taking San Diego over the Jets, duh!

It breaks my heart to do this but I’m picking the Bengals over the Patriots because until New England can prove to me they’re back, I’m over choosing them this year.

And for the Monday night game, Seattle vs. Washington, I’m taking the Super Bowl champs, the Seahawks with a score 24-17. (41 cumulative)

There are my picks, get yours in for a chance a 40” Sony LED TV and $10,000!
