Traveling is something I love to do, and something that I truly believe alleviates your soul. One of the best parts about loving to travel and living in Maine is our airport. It's small, it's easy to navigate, and you typically don't have to worry about lines or getting there the stereotypical "two hours early" before your flight.

Remember when we got the beautiful news that the Portland Jetport was getting a new, cheap direct flight service called Breeze Airways back in May 2021? Well, it just got even better for those of you who live closer to Bangor International Airport.

If you don't exactly know why the Beeze Airline service is so awesome, this is a statement from wabi.tv,

"The airline will offer four nonstop destinations from Portland, including year-round service to Charleston, SC and Tampa, FL, and seasonal summer service to Norfolk, VA and Pittsburgh, PA.  The new routes are now on sale at introductory fares from just $39* one way.   Breeze now offers 143 nonstop routes between 35 cities in 21 states nationally".

The beauty behind Breeze is the fact that it's always a direct flight, even if it's a last-minute booking. According to portlandjetport.org, the fact that they're now going to start departing from Bangor (BGR) starting this October is really cool for people up north.

"On Tuesday morning, the self-proclaimed “nice low cost carrier” announced service from Bangor International Airport to three Florida locations. Breeze will offer twice-weekly direct routes to Orlando, Tampa, and, seasonally, Fort Myers. Each flight begins at $99 one-way".
