Those reasons include the atmosphere. Something about eating in a vintage dining car that makes the meal taste better. But LoveFood was truly obsessed with the Palace Diner's crispy potatoes, which are included in several different breakfast combos.

A Hawaii Bakery Took the Top Spot on LoveFood's List

If the Palace Diner wants some extra bragging rights, it's technically the top breakfast and brunch spot in the continental United States.

That's because the top spot on LoveFood's list was given to a bakery in Honolulu, Hawaii. Leonard's Bakery is the stuff of legend on the island, thanks to serving up a signature donut called a malasada.
