Halloween is not one of those holidays that moves around the calendar, it's always on Oct. 31. But now a group is trying to change the date of Halloween to make "a safer, longer, stress-free celebration."

In a petition on change.org, a group calling themselves the "Halloween & Costume Association" is asking the President of the United States to move Halloween from Oct. 31 to the last Saturday in October.

The petition, which also contains a number of Halloween safety statistics, gives its rationale for moving the holiday by saying "51% Of Millennials say Halloween is their favorite holiday, why cram it into 2 rushed evening weekday hours when it deserves a full day!?!"

So far, the petition has gotten 2,131 signatures, so it looks like we might be stuck with a midweek Halloween a bit longer.
