Two New England Beaches Are On The ‘Top 25 Best U.S. Beaches’ List
New Englanders who live on or near the coast spend as much time as possible on the beach, because winter comes way too soon. The beach is definitely not something New Englanders take for granted.
When it comes to favorite beaches, we're sure everyone has a different opinion. People who use TripAdvisor rated two New England beaches very high, putting them both on the list of the "Top 25 Best U.S. Beaches" in the United States.
Those beaches are Ogunquit Beach in Ogunquit, Maine and Race Point Beach on Cape Cod in Provincetown, Massachusetts. They both won the 2019 TripAdvisor Travelers’ Choice Awards for beaches. Ogunquit is number 18 on the list because, as one reviewer wrote, there are "three miles of clean sand, shallow water, no rocks, beautiful waves, and inviting restaurants." Race Point Beach placed at number 24, because it "is a magical experience every summer," according to a TripAdvisor reviewer.
In case you are wondering, Clearwater Beach in Clearwater, Florida is the number one beach in the U.S.
Are these the best beaches or should another beach in New England have made the list?
