Luol Deng (illness) and Kirk Hinrich (calf) both missed the game for Chicago. Marco Belinelli added 24 points for the Bulls, who advanced to play the Miami Heat in the Eastern Conference semifinals.

Deron Williams had 24 points, seven assists and six rebounds for the Nets. Brooklyn was attempting to become the ninth team in NBA history to come from a 3-1 deficit to win a playoff series.
