City of Augusta, Augusta Downtown Alliance and Hallmark for ME are kicking off the holiday season with 5 days of festivities.  The Riverfront Holiday five-day event begins on Friday and goes through December 2nd.  And for the kids, there is plenty of chances to be able to see Santa and tell him what you want for Christmas.

Friday, November 28th:
The holiday tree arrives Downtown at 12pm at the Waterfront Park.  The 35 foot tree will be set up at 1pm

Saturday,, November 29th:

Santa's Castle Hours: Noon-6pm at the Old Federal Bldg.  Visit Santa and make a craft
Scavenger Hunt with Downtown Businesses - Get the list at Santa's Castle

Live Reindeer                         1pm-4:00pm                           Market Square
Write A Letter For Santa         1pm-4:30pm                           Market Square

Due to snow, Dance Unlimited will not be performing.

Christmas at the Fort             1pm-4:00pm                         Old Fort Western
South Parish Congregational Choir, 19th century tenement Christmas, Decorative paper cutting, letters to Santa, Reading of the "Twas the Night Before Christmas" and Bon Fire, hot chocolate and treats

Hay Wagon Rides                  1pm-4:00pm                         Old Fort Western

Monday, December 1st:
