Adam Levine + T.I. Linked to Drug Lawsuit

Have Adam Levine and T.I. been busy blazing something other than a trail up the Billboard charts?

That’s the allegation in a lawsuit recently filed by a former security guard at the Universal Music Publishing Group — in fact, she says the entire building is “infiltrated with pervasive drug use where you could smell marijuana seeping from various offices and openly used in common areas, and lounges.” She added that while she was busy trying to keep the company safe from publishing thieves, “artists and high-profile celebrities began visiting the premises with drugs in hand and oftentimes offering drugs.”

That might sound like a fun day at the office to a lot of people, but for our as-yet anonymous plaintiff, it created an intolerable “anything goes” environment, featuring “employees engaged in intimate touching and grinding, involving buttocks and genitalia,” where she “became torn between her professional integrity and losing her job.”

Ultimately, losing her job is exactly what she did, following a particularly bumpy night with T.I.’s entourage. She was unable to get the rapper’s security detail out of a parking area because, as one of them is alleged to have put it, “I gotta be able to get this boy outta here if a shootout or something goes down.”

And while the Maroon 5 frontman isn’t being accused of anything having to do with guns, his visits were reportedly accompanied by a certain odor. According to the lawsuit, the guard complained about the scent of marijuana while Levine was in the building with an assortment of guests, only to be told, “It’s Adam Levine. He can do whatever he wants … If he wants to come to the lobby and do a line of cocaine on the floor, it’s OK.”

It’s all pretty sensational stuff, but take it with at least a grain of salt — as Universal told the Hollywood Reporter after being reached for comment, “While we cannot comment on the allegations between the plaintiff and her employer, we can say that the allegations as they relate to Universal Music Group are absurd.”
