Yesterday Memorial Day weekend is coming soon. Any plans? It’s unofficially the first weekend of summer. The beginning of the tourist season, long lines at the tolls, rides at the theme parks and pretty much everywhere people go. It's time to think about sun and sand at the beaches!

Yesterday For some time our family has been talking about getting a second cat, as a playmate or friend for "Thunder." So yesterday, Lynn and I told the kids we'd go to The Greater Androscoggin Humane Society just to look. "Just to look" is I guess code in our house for bring the cat carrier just in case. "Bring the cat carrier" is code for we're not just looking. I say in this all in fun, but how can you not take home a kitty after you seem them?
3 days ago What a beautiful morning for a walk, huh? And to walk for a good cause even better. This morning I helped in launching the first Augusta 'Make A Wish' walk in some time. It was done in years past, but fizzled away for some reason but the walk has been re-organized, re-energized and is happening again.

4 days ago I just got to do the coolest thing, sit inside a race car. I was invited to the unveiling of the No. 6 Electricity Maine 'Power To Help' Pro Series stock car, which will race Saturday nights at Beech Ridge starting June 1st.

5 days ago Where it’s the height of TV season and series finales right now, I’m wondering what your favorite TV shows and or series finales are. The most memorable series finales for me are Seinfeld, Cheers and E.R. I remember the Friends series finale as well. Oddly, they’re all NBC shows. The M*A*S*H finale was epic. I didn't see it on TV but rented it on VHS.
5 days ago I just read that another part of my youth has disappeared or will soon go away. A while back, I talked about a bar we used to frequent, The Palace, that closed, and now a bowling alley is disappearing. Fairlanes at the Halifax Shopping Centre is closing because the mall didn't want to renew their lease.
