The losing streak for the UMaine hockey team has reached 6 games following a 6-3 loss to Vermont in game one of their weekend series.The Bears jumped out to 2-1 lead after the first, and led 3-2 in the second period before Vermont scored 4 unanswered goals to take the non-conference match-up.

Brian Morgan had 2 goals to lead Maine who drops to 3-10-1 overall on the season. Matt Morris got the start in net and took the loss allowing 5 goals over the first two periods. Sean Romeo played the third period and allowed the final goal of the night.

Vermont is now 3-0 against the Bears this season as the two teams play for the final time tonight at 7pm.
