The Boston Red Sox celebrated their 2013 World Series championship in front of an estimated 2 million fans on the streets of Boston. The festivities began at Fenway Park and then a rolling rally in duck boats (adorned with beards) and culminated with an emotional stop at the finish line of the Boston Marathon and the site of April's bombings.

Outfielder Jonny Gomes placed the World Series trophy on the finish line and along with catcher Jarrod Saltalamacchia, held Red Sox jerseys with the words 'Boston Strong' and the number 617, Boston's area code. Classical singer Ronan Tynan then sang a stirring rendition of 'God Bless America.'
