A bottle from Maine recently washed up on the shores in Scotland. Was there a message in the bottle? Nope...buttermilk! The 'Kate’s Real Butter Milk' bottle washed up off Scotland’s Northwest coast and was spotted by a UK couple that was walking the island beach.

Rod Williams, a marketer of 'Kate’s Real Butter Milk' of Old orchard beach, told the Bangor Daily News that they do not "have the slightest idea how it got there." The red writing on the bottle had been washed away so Williams suspects the bottle had been floating in the water for six months to a year.
