Bullying has been in the news a lot recently. It mostly seems to focus on kids. And, well it should, growing up can be hard enough. Add in bullying into the mix and it is so much harder. Until recently, I thought it was not an adult problem, except maybe as a parent as a child faced these issues. BUT, I am wrong. It can happen in the lives of adults. Let me tell you, it is super annoying and disheartening.

So, have you ever bought anything on QVC, HSN or some other shopping channel? Last night was my first time ever and probably only time. For months now we've wanted, OK, I've wanted a Keurig coffee maker and to this point I've (meaning we've) never been able to stomach the idea of buying the K-Cup coffee. It works out to like 50 cents a cup when you divide it down.
What a beautiful day to be out and about. Lynn and I did just that, went out. Originally we went looking for a graphing calculator for Dylan. With the weather in our travels we got the bug to look at possible spring and summer home upgrade projects.

I know it's my choice as to who I see as my Doctor but today I left my Doctor who I've had for the past 15 years. Why you ask? Well, you see when I moved to Portland back in 1998 I went looking for a Doctor and my Doctor at Martin's Point was accepting new patients. Fast forward to now, here's the thing, I moved from Portland to Auburn about 14 years ago.
As mentioned in a previous post, we acquired Maine Red Claws tickets for today's game at a discount and we went. After being cooped up for two days I needed something so to Portland we drove and went. It was just Lynn, myself and the two boys. Vikki stayed with her Aunt and Lynn's Mom.

I had the chance to talk with Chris Rhoda and his daughter Emma and Cathy Gordon, the principal of the Belgrade Central School. Belgrade Central School was the first school in Maine to have a Watch D.O.G.S. program.
When it comes to maternity leave, The United States earns a pretty dismal ranking when compared to other countries, being the only first-world country, and one of only three countries (the others being Lesotho, Swaziland and Papua New Guinea) that does not offer paid maternity leaves. Not only do other countries have better systems in place for maternity leave, but they have some pretty great welcoming gifts for their newest citizens. In Finland, for example, new parents can choose between receiving the above maternity package filled with essentials for baby's first few months or a tax-free lump sum of 140 euros as a maternity grant.
Our saga over the passports continues. A few weeks ago, we attempted to get our passports, but it turned into a mess. We got what we thought we needed together, birth certificates, the passport applications and the official photos, but it’s just not that easy. Read more about that experience here.
