Do We Make Too Much Of A Big Deal Over Artists Lip Synching?

Here we go again. The debate over lip-synching has a new object in Eminem. If you saw Eminem on ‘Saturday Night Live’ (SNL) over the weekend you may have noticed that he had a large amount backing help. Once and for all do you care if someone lip-synchs? In the case of Eminem the other night, I think was okay. The song, “Berserk” is full of samples or “recycled” hooks. I do however care if it’s a band.

Mike Michaud is Gay: Today’s Big Story Should Be Such a Non-Issue

So today, all over the news is the news that gubernatorial candidate Mike Michaud made the announcement he is gay. Excuse me while I yawn. This should be the biggest non-issue around. But from what I was reading Michaud, who is a six-term congressman for the state of Maine, felt he needed to address his sexuality to counter "whisper campaigns, insinuations and push-polls" that raised questions about his personal life. So he did, with an op-ed piece that was released today.

Drinking Age is 21, Should it be 21 or 18?

When I worked for a chain convenience store way back in the day we had three basic rules when selling alcohol. Don’t sell alcohol to someone’s who is intoxicated, don’t sell outside of legal hours and don’t sell to anyone under 21. To my knowledge, I had never broken anyone of the three rules. Twenty-two out of 80 Portland stores did break the rule of selling to minors.
