Me in 1995 or 1996

Greg Michaels’ Crazy Adventure For A Job Interview

I’ll tell this story again because of the date. It’s also kind of an interesting story of determination. Back on this day, Jan. 29, in 1995 it was a) The Super Bowl and b) a young 22 year old on a bus in search of a dream. I was on my way to an interview the next day, Monday, with a now defunct pop radio station in Brewer.

Dennis Rodman Goes To North Korea, Again?…What?

There are many things I don’t understand in life and one of them is Ex-Chicago Bulls and Celebrity "reality" show star Dennis Rodman and his trips to North Korea. He is back there again with a basketball team made up of US citizens. Actually I don’t understand why anyone would want to go there except maybe a journalist to expose real life in North Korea.

‘Scattering CJ’: Renee Is One Of Many Helping An Auburn Mom Find Some Peace With Her Son’s Death

A few weeks ago I was reading a story on Facebook about Scattering CJ.  It is a story about a mother in Auburn whose son died April 14, 2010 and her journey to find some peace with what happen. He committed suicide. CJ was only 20.  I was drawn to Hallie Twomey’s story for two reasons. One, losing a child is the last thing any parent should have to endure. Two, her son died the same way my father died when I was 12.

Sales Tax May Get Attached To Entertainment + Amusement in Maine

Next summer we in Maine could have to pay 5.5% sales tax on things like admission to Funtown, ski lift tickets, movie theaters, spa treatments, Sea Dogs games and other entertainment.
