World Series- The Kansas City Royals are the champions, beating the Mets in 5 games winning yesterday, 7-2. Salvador Perez was named series MVP. Video highlights from game 5 at our website.

NBA- Celtics lost to the Spurs, 95-87. Wednesday, they’re in Indiana.

NHL- Bruins are off today…tomorrow they host Dallas.

AHL- The Portland Pirates are in Utica on Wednesday.

NFL- in the late game, the Broncos 29-10 over the Packers. Tonight, the Carolina Panthers host the Indianapolis Colts.

Field hockey state championships- MCI and Skowhegan both won titles. Winslow fell to York, 3-2.

Saturday was opening day for firearms season on deer for Maine residents. Today the season opens for non-residents as well.
