Football remains the most popular professional sport in the United States, despite just a 16-game season for all teams. The NFL works to keep the sport in the public consciousness all year long and rapper Drake is indirectly helping the league’s efforts with the new track ‘Draft Day,’ which he just dropped online.

The song samples Lauryn Hill’s classic hit ‘Doo-Wop (That Thing),’ which was released back in 1998 and put the now-elusive star on the map as a solo artist.

In the song, Drizzy references Heisman Trophy-winning football wunderkind Johnny Manziel and basketball star A. Wiggins (aka Andrew Wiggins), a top prospect expected to go No. 1 in the NBA draft.

Drizzy also drops a reference to America’s Girl Crush Jennifer Lawrence and ‘The Hunger Games,’ saying he’d die for his district. He also mentions his Sprite sponsorship in a funny way, so listen for it. Drizzy is clearly plugged into pop culture and sports culture since he sprinkles his song with lots of decidedly current names.

The distorted and looped beat in the chorus totally slays, though!

Drake is definitely ballin’ in more ways than one. Take a listen to the new track below.
