As a video gamer, I am kinda' broken up about this...  GameStop has announced that it is closing more than 100 of its stores.

According to CNN, GameStop plans to close 2% or 3% of its over 4,000 US stores.  This could mean the closing of as many as 190 stores.

The problem?  They just aren't selling enough video games (not a good thing for a video game store).  Sales fell nearly 14% last quarter compared to the same time frame in 2016.

Even though game sales are down, they are  seeing an increase in the sales of their other products, like the pop culture collectibles (love those Walking Dead figures!).

Which Central Maine stores are going to be closing?  Well, we don't know.  They haven't announced the closure list, yet.
