‘Bachelor’ star Gia Allemand tragically took her own life on Aug. 14, and in response to her sudden passing, her close friends and family will be speaking to Dr. Phil on Tuesday, Sept. 10 in a tell-all interview that addresses suicide and suicide prevention.

Scheduled to attend the program are Allemand’s mother, Donna Micheletti, as well as Gia’s rep, Penelope Jean Hayes — and reportedly ‘Bachelor’ Jake Pavelka.

According to Allemand’s representative, the hour-long program, which has already been taped, will include a “raw and heartfelt conversation” about her suicide.

“I wanted an opportunity to tell my daughter’s story and give some background into Gia’s struggles,” her mother shared in a press release. “My hope is that talking about Gia’s death will be helpful for our family and be a message to others in emotional pain. As a respected professional, Dr. Phil was the best choice in having this conversation. We are very grateful for the opportunity to communicate through Dr. Phil’s platform.”

Added Hayes of their goal in bringing attention to Allemand’s death, “We vetted numerous options for the right outlet for a conversation about her life and death and [to] open a greater discussion about suicide. Dr. Phil was by far the best choice for us to accomplish that as he shares with us the common intention to help those struggling with emotional health issues and bring exposure to a topic that is still a social taboo to talk about and embrace openly and honestly.”

When Hayes was asked if Pavelka would be on the show, she responded that, “Ryan Anderson [her boyfriend] was the only man whom Gia’s mother invited to participate. Jake might be appearing on his own accord.”

Allemand was laid to rest on Aug. 22 in a moving service. The ‘Dr. Phil’ episode will air on World Suicide Prevention Day.
