‘John’ Names Will Be Released in Kennebunk Prostitution Case
Alexis Wright, 29, the Kennebunk Zumba instructor charged with running a prostitution business out of her dance studio was in court this week. Tuesday she pleaded not guilty to 106 counts of prostitution, violation of privacy, tax evasion and other charges for allegedly providing sex for money.
Wright is also accused of secretly videotaping her encounters. Prosecutors have gathered more than 100 hours of video and nearly 14,000 screen shots from seized computers. Summons have begun to be issued to her customers and names are expected to be released within the next few weeks.
According to police affidavits, seized were electronic ledgers of sexual acts, video recordings and records of clients and the sexual acts performed by Wright. Police say the activities generated as much as $150,000.
Wright, lives in Wells, and is free on personal recognizance.
