I'm pretty excited about this! And no, not JUST because it's about Dunkin's Iced Coffee. Because THIS is a big chance to help out some great kids. Dunkin' Donuts annual Iced Coffee Day raises a lot of money for Maine's 'Barbara Bush Children's Hospital.

I'll be broadcasting live from the Main Street, Waterville location Wednesday starting at 7a during the Moose Morning Show. Here's what ya need to know:

About Maine Iced Coffee Day

  • Wednesday, May 25th is Maine Iced Coffee Day.
  • $1.00 from every iced coffee sold across Maine and Coos and Carroll counties in NH will go directly to The Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital to fund their Hospital-Based Teacher Program.
  • Buy an iced coffee OR make a donation onsite.
  • Dunkin’ Donuts has made a five-year commitment to raise $250,000 to support the program.
    • To date, more than $208,000 has been raised over the past three years.

Impact of Maine Iced Coffee Day

Hospital-Based Teacher Program at Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital

  • All funds raised through Iced Coffee Day endow the Hospital-Based Teacher located inside the Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital.
  • The endowment supports Northern New England’s only hospital-based teacher program and the current teacher, Abby Snyder.
  • This program directly impacts the thousands of children who visit the hospital every year.
  • As the only hospital-based teacher in Northern New England, Snyder is on-site and dedicated to helping school aged children (ages 5-18) who are patients at BBCH stay connected with their classmates, teachers and schoolwork.
  • The Dunkin’ Donuts endowment not only preserves this program for years to come but also provides the hospital with the school supplies to use with appropriate school activities.
