Michelle M via Flickr Free speech is our first amendment right…even if the group making the speech is about as controversial as they come. Westboro Baptist Church out of Kansas, is notorious for protesting against gays at military funerals with all kinds of hateful, venomous language. Now, they’re off to Tampa Florida to protest at the Republican National Convention. Then, they plan a similar protest outside the Democratic National Convention. Does anybody take these people seriously? Does anybody really know what they’re for? Or against? It seems any message they could be giving or sermon they could be preaching is lost in their clear hatred for anyone who is different than their “ideal” human being…whatever THAT is.
