Maine Hall of Fame Sportscaster Bruce Glasier Passes Away

WCSH channel 6 popular broadcaster Bruce Glasier has passed away. Bruce's style doing the sports report was a mixture of dry humor, information and a humbleness. Bruce was a cornerstone with WCSH for 35 years, doing the sportscast from 1977 until he retired in 2012.

Bruce had been battling lung cancer and passed away on Wednesday.

In a statement from their website, WCSH said, 'For 35 years Bruce brought events from our back yards into our living rooms. Sports Overtime, The Varsity Club, and the 5th Quarter, were just some of the long running staples of the nightly local sportscast that made Bruce the Hall of Fame broadcaster that he was."
