According to the Lewiston Sun Journal, the Maine Centers For Disease Control and Prevention will soon begin testing for COVID-19 at state labs.  With the addition of new equipment, they plan to start testing locally within the next few days.

It is extremely important to note that Maine has not had a single confirmed case of COVID-19.  Neighboring New Hampshire has only had two cases.

So far, about a dozen samples from Maine have been sent to a national Centers for Disease Control lab for testing.  The results on those tests are pending.'
