If It Would Benefit Boston, Mark Wahlberg Would Totally Reunite With the Funky Bunch [VIDEO]
In the wake of the Boston Marathon bombings, Beantown native Mark Wahlberg now says he'd be wiling to reform his '90s group Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch to raise money for the victims.
“I just really appreciate how the entire country, all the cities across the country, the entire world has really rallied around Boston and all the thoughts and the prayers are going to start the healing," he said about the tragedy.
"Boston is a very special place, and I wouldn’t be the man I am today if I wasn’t raised [there]. We'll be okay."
When asked by TMZ if he would have a one-time concert for the victims as Marky Mark and the Fun Bunch -- not a typo, this is the question he was posed -- Wahlberg had a definitive answer.
After nicely correcting the photog that it was actually Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch, the actor responded, "Absolutely. Why not?"
This is not the first time Wahlberg has mentioned a reunion of sorts -- back in March he expressed interest in getting the group back together if it could be lucrative, and the Funky Bunch responded by saying they were so in.
You heard the man, people! Let's make this happen.
