Damariscotta Getting Ready for Another Great ‘Pumpkinfest’

It just keeps getting bigger and bigger every year. Get ready for the 8th Annual 'Pumpkinfest' in Damariscotta. Things get underway this weekend (10/4-5) with the pumpkin weigh-offs and next week there's a full schedule of smashing events (maybe that's not the right choice of words) Thursday through Columbus Day, starting with the 'Giant Pumpkin Deployment' on Main Street.

Saturday (Oct. 11) there's the huge pumpkin parade, pumpkin dessert & pie eating contests and the Zombie Run Sunday's (Oct. 12) fun includes the 'Pumpkin Hurl' and 'Pumpkin Catapult' as well as the 'Pumpkin Derby!' The 'Pumpkinboat Regatta' is on Columbus Day. There are so many more activities, plus a full line-up of entertainment, as well.
