The 'Richmond Days' two-day celebration this year is Friday and Saturday (July 26-27). Events will include the third annual 5k, a fireman's muster, Swan Island tours, lobster crate races, inflatables, fireworks and of course plenty of food!

The children's parade gets things rolling Friday night. Line up is at 6:15p.m. at RUD on Front Street. Then at 6:45p.m. enjoy the Woodside One Wheelers (WOW) unicycle show. The fantastic Nikki Hunt Band will entertain at 9:00p.m.

Saturday a full day of festivities gets underway with the 5K Health Center 1 Mile Community Run/Walk.

The parade theme this year is 'Happy Birthday!' The parade on Saturday will start at the High School parking lot (Assembly begins at 9:30am,) go down Main Street, turn left onto Front Street, left onto Kimball Street through Boynton Street, left onto Williams Street and right onto Main Street back to the High School.

Plus, this year comedian/storyteller Tim Sample performs Saturday night at Richmond High School. Tickets are on sale now at the Town Office. Doors open at 6:00p.m. and show time is at 7:00p.m. Tickets are $15.00 in advance and $20.00 at the door the night of the show. All proceeds will benefit 'Richmond Days' and scholarships for Richmond High School seniors.
