The Boss is is going from rocker to writer. Bruce Springsteen is working on a children's book based on his song working 'Outlaw Pete,' from the 2009 album 'Working on a Dream.'

According to Simon & Schuster, who is publishing the book, it is a "picture book for adults, that can also be read to children. It’s a book for anybody who loves a good Western." 'Outlaw Pete', is an eight-minute song about a bank-robbing baby.

By the way, Springsteen is not doing the illustrations. Those will be done by cartoonist Frank Caruso. Look for the book November 4. Just in time for Christmas.
