Marie Anne's mom passed away late last summer. She died at home, as per her wish, thanks to Maine General Hospice, a non-profit arm of the hospital. Marie Anne said she wanted to raise money for them. I knew she'd see that desire to fruition. Tomorrow night at the Calumet Club in Augusta, it happens.
Several times by several different entities, Owls Head General Store (Facebook) has been said to have the best burger in Maine! The "Seven Napkin Burger" sure does look good so that's a trip Mac Dickson and I have planned in the not too distant future!
In case you haven't heard, today will be the first and only opportunity for the public to take complete tours of the new hospital on the Old Belgrade Road in Augusta. Tours will run from 1 to 4 and I'll be broadcasting there from noon to 2! Come see what all the talk's been about!
Maine General CEO, Chuck Hays, gave the Moose crew a tour through the new hospital today. Unvelievable! From the beautiful outdoor gardens and walkways (to be used for therapy) to the sofas that fold out into beds so family members can stay with sick loved ones, this place is magnificent! Too bad that when you go there you're more than likely too sick to fully enjoy the amenities!
