This past summer while riding a motorcycle to raise money for the Shriner's Children's Hospital, our Augusta Police Chief, Robert (Bob) Gregoire, was seriously injured in an accident. While the chief's wife, Cathy, along with Sgt. Chris Shaw, were also injured in the two bike crash, it was Bob who was most critically hurt. He sustained a neck injury that has left him partially paralyzed.

It's sure to be a good time at Cony High School's Alumni Field on Saturday with a fun day/benefit for the Lucas Family. Ben Lucas, star football player of the state class A champion Cony Rams, played for the team and the community on that field. On Saturday, the team and community will come out for his family, specifically, his mom Allison, who was recently diagnosed with cancer.
