Last day of winter was a snowy one. What else does one do on a snowy day? Yep, let the dogs “talk” you into going to the Augusta Dog Park. Shadow and I picked up our friend Ripley and off we went. We all had a good time running around chasing each other. Thanks Ripley and Shadow for playing with me! I need my exercise.
This all may be ShadowDog's idea of a good time, but not for most of us. A winter storm spanning 20 states dumped more than a foot of snow in some places yesterday. In fact about 60 million people, about 20% of the U.S. population, were under winter weather warnings.
As I backed into my driveway I knew something had gone terribly awry when I found myself looking toward the passenger side rear-view mirror and staring at the lawn.

As the blizzard begins to move out, all that’s left is the cleanup.
The question is, how much is there to clean up?
Are you buried in? Do you still have power? 'Storm Nemo' has hit central Maine with a vengeance with blizzard conditions and a couple feet of snow. We're going to be dealing with the drifting conditions and low visibility as the storm winds down and we dig out. Let's share in our misery, or joy, depending on how much you love the new white stuff.

Maximum speed limits have been lowered to 45 miles-per-hour at the request of Maine State Police Troop G.
The commute on the way into Augusta today from Auburn at around 10 a.m. wasn’t too bad at least the roads were okay. The visibility was a bit of an issue but over all I made it in about an hour just slightly longer than the usual 45-50 minutes it takes me to get to or from.
As we wait for the latest storm of the century to bear down on Maine, I am left to contemplate the fact that this huge storm is named after A DISNEY FISH?
