According to Stephen McCausland, spokesman for the Maine Department of Public Safety, two people have been arrested in connection with last week's homocide in Cherryfield.

Arrested were 37 year old Carine Reeves and 19 year old Quaneysha Greeley, both of New York City.  They were arrested on fugitive from justice charges this morning on 141st Street in the Laurelton Section of Queens.

Both will be charged with murder, in connection with the death of 55 year old Sally Shaw, when they are brought back to Maine.  Shaw's body was found alongside Rt 193 in Cherryfield last Wednesday.

The Maine Attorney General's office authorized murder charges against them earlier this week and 2 Maine State Police detectives made the trip to New York Tuesday to coordinate the arrests.

Their first appearance in court will be tomorrow (Thursday) morning.
