In the warm-ups before the match-up for the UMaine men's basketball game with Duke, the team will wear rainbow themed America East conference shirts to protest the House Bill 2 Law in North Carolina.

The Black Bears will take on the #5 ranked Blue Devils in Raleigh on Saturday afternoon and will wear the shirts before the opening whistle sounds.  The conference has not officially made a stance against the HB2 law in North Carolina, but two teams have cancelled games with teams in the state including Albany and the women's team of Vermont since the law went into effect.
