The first clip from ‘Hotel Transylvania’ has arrived and now fans can see, er, hear Selena Gomez voicing her animated character, Mavis.

The scene, which also features Adam Sandler as Mavis’ father, Dracula, begins with the young-looking vampire pacing around her room on her 118th birthday. She practices a speech to her father in which she explains why she should be able to leave the grounds and explore the world.

She eventually comes face-to-face with her father and continues to make her case. However, she talks so much that she doesn’t realize that her dad has given her permission to go. “Holy rabies!” she exclaims at the news.

Produced by Sandler, ‘Hotel Transylvania’ focuses on Dracula’s high-end resort, which prides itself on giving monsters a place to get away, especially from humans. However, when a boy falls for his daughter, Dracula goes into ultimate overprotective dad-mode.

This isn’t Gomez’s first animated film. The 20-year-old voiced Helga in ‘Horton Hears a Who!’ and Princess Selenia in both ‘Arthur and the Revenge of Maltazard’ and ‘Arthur 3: The War of the Two Worlds.’ Andy Samberg, Kevin James, Fran Drescher, David Spade, Steve Buscemi, Molly Shannon and Cee Lo Green round out the cast of ‘Hotel Transylvania,’ which arrives on Sept. 28.
