ORIGINAL STORY FOLLOWS:

According to a press release from Maine Department of Public Safety Spokeswoman, Shannon Moss, a 12-year-old who is unfamiliar with the area he was last seen in has gone missing.

Moss says that the Portland Maine Police Department has issued a Silver Alert for 12-year-old Geraldo Mbacu of Portland.

The release states that Mbacu was last seen earlier this morning (Monday, August 8th) at about 10 o'clock this morning. Moss says that Mbacu has only been in the Portland area for about four days and that he is not familiar with the area.

Additionally, Mbacu may be experiencing mental health issues at this time. Mbacu is described as a 12-year-old black male that is 4'10" and about 85 pounds. He has brown eyes, brown hair and is likely wearing a gray shirt and blue shorts. He was last seen on 6 Cumberland Avenue in Portland.
