12 Years Ago Today Toys R Us Debuted A New “Geoffrey” – What is Your Favorite Advertising Mascot?

Back on this day October 14 in 2001, Toys R Us debuted the new version of Geoffrey the Giraffe in their advertising. It aired in a commercial on WABC in New York before the TV Disney movie, “The Emperor’s New Groove.”

What are your favorite characters in advertising? The Taco Bell dog would be one of mine. The M&M candies are kind of cool. McDonald’s Hamburgler was one of my favorites too. I was technically too young to drink at the time but Spuds MacKenzie was a smooth pooch.
