18-Year-Old Arrested in Connection With Central Maine Shooing, Drug Charges
An 18-year-old Maine man has been taken into custody in relation to a shooting that happened in Central Maine in early October.
According to WGME 13, there were shots fired back on October 7th on Whitney Street in Auburn. Police say that the shots were fired into a building.
WGME reports that officials searched that home earlier today in connection with that shooting and took an 18-year-old suspect into custody.
Police say that following the search of the home, 18-year-old David Richards Jr, of Auburn, was arrested on charges of reckless conduct with a firearm, unlawful transfer of a handgun to a minor, and unlawful possession of a schedule drug.
Police say upon their search of the home they located a handgun, ammunition for the gun, and crack cocaine.
David Richards is currently being held on $20,000 cash bail at the Androscoggin County Jail. Officials say that more charges are expected in this case.
