2 Maine Football Coaches Suspended For Allegedly Picking Players Up & ‘Slamming Them to The Ground’
According to an article published from WGME 13, two assistant football coaches have been suspended from their duties due to an incident that parents said they witnessed during a recent practice.
WGME is reporting that parents witnessed two assistant coaches with the Lake Region third and fourth grade football team pick multiple players up two to three feet up off their feet and them slam them into the ground head first.
WGME reports that the investigation into the accusations was opened on Monday and the assistant coaches were immediately suspended from the Naples-based football program.
Sports officials say that the coaches will only be allowed to return to the program if and when the investigation clears them of any wrongdoing in the matter.
