2 People in Their Twenties Killed in Gardiner Motorcycle Crash
According to WMTW, two people in their twenties were killed Sunday night in Gardiner when the motorcycle they were riding was involved in a head-on collision with an SUV.
Authorities say that 22-year-old Anthony Fournier of Sabattus and 24-year-old Kristin Doughty of Winthrop were both killed in the accident. It is believed the motorcycle veered into the path of the oncoming SUV resulting in the crash. The driver of the SUV has been hospitalized with undisclosed injuries.
Fournier was the driver of the motorcycle and Doughty was the passenger. Neither the driver or the passenger were wearing helmets at the time of the crash.
