An elderly man is dead following a crash involving his motorcycle and a tree service truck on the Turner Ridge Road in Somerville on Friday afternoon.

WGME 13 reports that the crash happened on Friday afternoon on the Turner Ridge Road when a motorcycle, driven by Christopher Lascoutx. He was reportedly riding down the Turner Ridge Road on his 2019 Triumph motorcycle when he collided with a Lucas Tree truck that was pulling out into the roadway.

The driver of the Lucas Tree service truck, 23-year-old, Brandon Higgins, and his passenger, Ryan Mack, 25 of Waterville, were uninjured and were reportedly both wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.

It was also reported by WGME that the rider, Christopher Lascoutx, was also wearing a riding jacket and helmet at the time of the crash.

Police had the road closed for almost three hours on Friday afternoon as they worked to clear the debris and investigate the crash. The crash was being handled by the Maine State Police Commercial Vehicle Unit.

Additionally, police are asking anyone with information or who may have witnesses the crash to please contact them at the Sheriff's Office by calling 207.882.7332.
