A Warning Not to Share Your Bed With a Newborn
Maine's Attorney General advises allowing your infant to sleep in your bed with you is a bad idea.
Sharing your bed with your newborn is also ill-advised by The American Academy of Pediatrics who says, infants should be in either a crib or bassinet without pillows, blankets or stuffed animals.
This information and warning is being brought to light after five deaths of children under four months of age so far this year. All deaths were by asphyxiation and were accidental.
