Entrance fees for all parks under the National Park Service’s protection will be waived on Tuesday, Aug. 25. That means you can visit Acadia National Park for free.

The 'free' day is in honor of the National Park Service’s 99th anniversary. Acadia is among the 130 national parks that require an entrance fee. There are 400 National Parks in total.

The current price for private vehicles carrying fewer than 16 passengers is $25. The pass is valid for seven days.
