If you live in Maine, you already know we take our coffee pretty seriously. Whether you’re a Dunkin person, a Starbucks regular, or someone who loves and cherishes their favorite local coffee shop, we all seem to have our go-to spot.

But is Aroma Joe’s becoming Maine’s new coffee hot spot?

Aroma Joe’s Keeps Growing in Maine

Aroma Joe’s continues to grow across the state, with a new location at 89 Sabattus Road in Sabattus opening September 15.

And I didn’t realize just how big Aroma Joe’s has become in Maine. According to ScrapeHero, as of June 11, 2026, there were 56 Aroma Joe’s locations in Maine, more than any other state in the country. Maine actually accounted for about 42% of the 134 Aroma Joe’s locations nationwide at the time.

Personally, I’ve never been to Aroma Joe’s, which almost feels strange considering how many we have around the state. I see them, I hear people talk about them, but I’ve just never made that stop.

Is Aroma Joe’s the New Maine Coffee Spot?

So now I’m curious. Are Mainers choosing Aroma Joe’s over Dunkin and Starbucks? Or are we still loyal to those local coffee shops we know and love, where they might even know our order before we walk through the door?

With Aroma Joe’s continuing to grow in Maine, maybe it really is becoming the new hot spot.

Have you tried Aroma Joe’s? Is it worth the stop?
