Did you there is a pet pantry in Augusta? Yes, the Amy Buxton Pet Pantry runs out of the South Parish Church at 9 Church Street in Augusta. 

For the summer months, the Amy Buxton Pet Pantry will only be open on the second Saturday of each month. Keep up to date on the exact date and times on the Amy Buxton Pet Pantry Facebook page.  

The Amy Buxton Pet Pantry has a Facebook page to help you keep up to day on their hours and other important information about services and information for pet owners in central Maine that may need a little extra support.  

The Amy Buxton Pet Pantry was created in honor of Amy Buxton, who died in 2012 and help to provided food, supplies, and information for pet owners who need some extra support. Amy was 26 years old nursing student when she died of a sudden illness. This was created to honor this special young woman who had so much compassion for animals and people alike. 

Like any community-based organization that relies on donations and volunteers…there is always room to give. If you have a passion for helping pet owners and pets in central Maine, this is a perfect way to make a difference.
