Central Maine Singer Bella Ann Lands Opportunity to Record in Los Angeles
Central Maine singer-songwriter Bella Ann has a pretty incredible opportunity in front of her, and now the community is being asked to help her take the next big step.
Fundraising Concert Set for June 20
Bella Ann will be performing a fundraising concert on Saturday, June 20, at Johnson Hall, located at 280 Water Street in Gardiner. Doors open at 7 p.m., with music beginning at 7:30 p.m. The evening will include live music, raffles, a bake sale, and more, with proceeds helping Bella travel to Los Angeles this summer to record new music.

A Chance Encounter Opens a Door
According to Bella’s mom, Meg Loubier, the opportunity came about after Bella volunteered her time to perform at a Johnson Hall fundraiser for Gardiner Area High School in early May. During intermission, someone in attendance approached the family and asked if he could pass Bella’s information along to his cousin, who works in the music industry in Los Angeles.
Industry Connection Leads to Los Angeles Opportunity
That connection turned out to be a major one. Meg says the cousin is a Senior A&R Executive at RCA Records who has worked with artists including Tate McRae and Lana Del Rey. He is now interested in working with Bella through his artist development label, Slumbo Labs, which is closely partnered with RCA Records.
Bella has been invited to spend five full days in the studio in Los Angeles with multiple producers. Funds raised will help cover airfare, lodging, car rental, and legal expenses connected to reviewing and negotiating the contract.
Bella also has a GoFundMe, and her grandmother has donated paintings for a raffle to help support the trip.
