Let me start by saying I don’t really know much about sports but I do understand they very important to many and this just feels like such an important moment as the world crawls back to normal-ish.  Today, April 1, 2021, is the Boston Red Sox season and home opener…weather permitting.

In fact, all of the teams are playing today and the Boston Globe pointed out this is the first time since 1968 that all the teams have played on opening day.

According to WCVB, the rain should be done by the start of the game at 2:10 this afternoon but it will still be damp and chilly. The Sox are playing the Baltimore Orioles at Fenway.  As for how many people were allowed tickets for this…at MLB.com they say the number is 4,500.  While that may sound like a lot it is 12% of Fenway’s capacity.
