We're pretty lucky here in Maine to have the number of airlines servicing the state that we do. Given our relatively low population and proximity to much larger airports like Boston Logan, it's pretty sweet that we have two major airports in the state of Maine.

If you remember correctly, I brought you a story just over a year ago about a new airline that was going to start service to and from Maine's Portland International Jetport. Because it was a new venture for the Jetport, the airline was offering crazy low fares to really popular destinations.

However, I've found in the past that these airlines often begin cranking their rates back up once they're 'not so new' anymore. Though I was perusing the Portland Jetport website this morning and found that these rates are actually still really low.

When it comes to the 'world's nicest airline', we realize that it can be totally subjective, right? One person may think it's American while someone else swears that it's Southwest.

Well, we're pretty sure it's Breeze Airways.

How can we be so sure? Well, quite frankly, it's because their literal slogan is 'World's Nicest Airline'.

I popped on to the PWM (Portland Jetport) website this morning to take a gander at some of their flights to see what prices were looking like these days. What I found is that Breeze is offering non-stop flights to Charleston, Raleigh, Savannah and Vero Beach, Florida. And, depending on what day you choose to fly, some of those flights to Florida start at just $89 bucks! I even found return flights starting at $30.

The Portland Jetport's website went on to say about the seats on Breeze Airways planes,

Seat pitch for a Standard Economy seat is 30 inches on the A220s and 31 inches on the E-195s, while seat pitch for Extra Legroom is 32 inches on the A220s and between 34 and 39 inches on the E-195s, depending on the row selected. First Class seats feature 39 inches of seat pitch, 20.5 inches of seat width, and special features including a footrest for added comfort, and in-seat AC power and USB/C ports.
