Celebrating 100th Anniversary of Women’s Right to Vote with Maine Brewed Beer
It was only 100 years ago that the 19th Amendment to the United States Constitution granted American women the right to vote. (Thanks guys!!) So, to commemorate that two Maine breweries owned by Maine women who are also Maine lawmakers are brewing up some Maine beer. Maine’s first female governor, Janet Mills was on hand to help out. AND the beer will be released on November 5…ELECTION DAY! Check out the WGME story above.
State Senator Heather Sanborn who owns Rising Tide Brewing in Portland and Rep. Mattie Daughtry owns Moderation Brewing Company in Brunswick and they are calling it "Ratification Ale.” Cheers!
