China’s Becky Hapgood is Maine’s ‘Town Clerk of the Year’ [Audio]

Becky Hapgood, China's town clerk, is this year's Maine Town Clerk of the Year. Becky was one of the first people I met when I moved to China and I knew from our first encounter that this was a lady I would grow to love. And I have. She's always smiling (ok, most always), always jovial and ALWAYS helpful. And clearly very good at what she does and has been doing for 20 years!

The award is bestowed each year by the Maine Town and City Clerk's Association which says the award “recognizes excellence both in their contributions to their community as well as to the profession of the municipal clerk.”

All I know is, practical jokes she's played on me aside, we're lucky to have her :-).
